EU Barcelona has partnerships with 13 student residences in various parts of the city, ranging from a five-minute walk to campus to 30 minutes via public transport. Living in close proximity to other students helps you adapt, both to the city and your new lifestyle. It's a great opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds without having to worry about household chores. Residences range from €650 to €1500 (depends on the type of room and board).

Finding an Apartment 

PRIVATE APARTMENTS

Having your own apartment is something that will appeal to you if you like tranquility, you enjoy your own company and don't like to compromise on your personal space. Here are some things you should take in to consideration when you want to find your own place:

• The usual minimum rental period is one year, but some agencies will accept short-term rentals
• The cost of the rental contract is generally the same amount as the one-month rental price or 10% of the annual price
• You are usually required to pay a deposit of two months, which will be returned to you at the end of the rental period as long as the property is in good condition 

Studios/flats start from €650 and bills are, generally, not included.

SHARED APARTMENTS

Sharing an apartment is a popular choice in Spain and it's a lot cheaper than living on your own. Plus, if you are lucky, it may help you make some great friends along the way. It’s a flexible option but you must be willing to compromise.

Sharing a flat is the cheapest option (€300-€500 per month).
